Gracie Plath-Teacher and Choreographer
Born into our dance studio, Gracie Plath began dancing as soon as she could walk. Her journey at Accent on Dance laid the foundation for her passion and complete dedication to the art form. She went on to attend the University of Arizona, where she graduated in 2019 with a BFA in Dance. During her time at Arizona, Gracie had the privilege of performing works by esteemed choreographers such as Autumn Eckman, Amy Ernst, Tammy Dyke-Compton, Michael Williams, and James Clouser. In her final year, she also performed "Megalopolis" with Keigwin + Company and “Panorama” with the Martha Graham Dance Company. Summers spent training with Visceral Dance Chicago and Giordano Dance Chicago further enriched her dance education. Gracie’s extensive performance experience gives her a unique perspective as an instructor, particularly as she continues to train and perform as a principal dancer with Nova Linea Contemporary Dance. She understands firsthand the challenges and exhilaration of being on stage and preparation needed to succeed, which she effectively translates into her teaching. Her teaching style is warm and knowledgeable, effortlessly bringing out the best in her students through positive reinforcement. Gracie primarily works with our team dancers who have found great success under her engaging choreography and guidance. Her remarkable talent as a dancer is matched by her ability to connect with her students. Gracie's passion for dance and commitment to her students make her an invaluable part of the Accent on Dance family.
