AOD ALUMNI
Lexie Plath 10' is currently the swing for the first National tour of "The Prom". She is covering eight ensemble and three principal lead roles. Lexie was raised at Accent On Dance. Being the grandaughter of AOD's founder Mary Cummings and the daughter of current owner Kellie Plath Lexie's love of the performing arts began at a very early age. As a baby, whenever she would cry, her mom would bring her into tap class and she would immediately calm down. She began her own dance training at the age of two, and has been addicted to performing ever since. She went on to pursue her passion professionally, and received her BFA in Music Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. While in school, Lexie also performed regionally at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in Warsaw, IN, and Timberlake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll, IL. Post-graduation, Lexie traveled the country with the national tour of Anything Goes with choreography by Kathleen Marshall, and the first national tour of Susan Stroman's Bullets Over Broadway. She has also performed regionally at the Ogunquit Playhouse (Bullets Over Broadway), The Arvada Center (A Chorus Line, Val) and The Fulton Theatre (Guys & Dolls), The 1st National tour of Cats as Bomballurina. When not performing, Lexie’s other passion lies in devouring as many books as she can.

Beyond the stage, SMC produces “A Movement Flight”--a site-specific, happy hour performance crafted for breweries-- and tours it around the country. As a freelance dancer, Emily worked for Kyle Abraham/AIM; the Metropolitan Opera in works by Doug Varone, Mark Morris, and Carolyn Choa; the Rolling Stones in their 50th Anniversary reunion tour; and for 8 years with the iconic modern dance group, Keigwin + Company.
