The Accent Performing Arts Theatre
Group
Our mission is
give those students with the desire to pursue musical theatre, dance
performance, choreography, or lighting and set design, a forum and
the opportunity to be guided and experiment with their talents in
a place that lends itself towards extreme creativity.
The Accent On Dance Performing Arts Theatre Group was formed in
the fall of 2005. With the completion of the privately funded Accent
On Dance Performance Theatre, it was time to set a lifelong dream
of the present owners into motion. Director Kate Antonetti was hired
and production on the first musical began. “Doctor Deverreaux”,
“Way Out West”, “The Little Princess” and
“Twas the Crazy Night” have since all made their debut
here in our blackbox theatre. In the fall of 2006 the theatre group
added two weekly theatre classes for two different age groups. Younger
students got their first exposure to theatre and older students
enhanced their knowledge.
In the future we intend to host student choreography shows, student
run productions, open talent nights and of course more musicals
and plays!
Surrounded by passionate students and professionals, young performers
can truly shine in this supportive environment. You might be looking
at a future Tony Award winning director/ choreographer or Broadway
star!
Thank You To Our Audience… for your support of this production
and theatre!
